Licenced, Exclusive, High-Impact Keynote Experiences

Mike Boyle and Strategy Shift hold the exclusive rights to deliver Teamwork at the Edge® and Leadership at the Edge® in Asia and Australia.

These are immersive, story-based keynotes built on two extraordinary events:

Leadership At The Edge®

Shackleton’s 1914 expedition was a masterclass in leadership under extreme adversity. When his ship, the Endurance, was trapped and crushed by Antarctic ice, Shackleton’s ability to adapt, maintain morale, and unite his team made the difference between life and death.

Mike Boyle’s keynote distils the learnings into ten lessons providing actionable insights for modern leaders, empowering you and your team to navigate today’s leadership challenges with courage, creativity, and resilience.

The Keynote features original moving and still images by Frank Hurley, mostly taken on glass plates; they are arguably the greatest pictures ever taken in Antarctica.

This ‘Golden Age’ adventure story offers the opportunity to shift perspective — and potential.

Teamwork At The Edge®

This rollicking ride is based on the true story of the AFR Midnight Rambler and the challenges its crew encountered in winning the 1998 Sydney to Hobart Race.

While many tried to manoeuvre around the storm, the diminutive AFR Midnight Rambler crew chose to head directly into its path through the notorious Bass Strait.

The decision to head into the storm, along with their extraordinary tenacity, optimism, and courage, teamwork and leadership, enabled this group of “amateurs” to outperform the professionals on bigger boats.

Beyond themes of teamwork, trust, and decision-making under pressure, Mike delivers this enthralling story in a way that makes the insights relevant and relatable to today’s VUCA world.

The Accidental Traveller

*Co-presented with Mark Inglis

Imagine you are 23 years old, trapped in an ice cave for 14 days by a sub-zero blizzard on the summit of New Zealand’s highest peak.

You are starving and freezing to death. You are rescued and taken to the hospital, and discover both legs are to be removed below the knees due to frostbite. What do you do next?

If you are Mark Inglis ONZM, you climb Mount Everest, of course. ‘Do not let a disability define your life’

Between losing his legs and then going on to be the first double amputee to have stood on the roof of the world, the summit of Mount Everest, Mark has carved out careers as a scientist, a world recognised winemaker, business creator and innovator, paralympic athlete (NZ’s 1st paralympic cycling medal, a silver at Sydney 2000), Himalayan mountain and trekking guide, philanthropist and a leading International Motivator. Who else can truly define the often used saying, “Attitude determines your Altitude”

Mike’s Sweet Spot: Sales and Selling

Mike Boyle’s career in sales and sales leadership began in 1990. Since then, he has witnessed, and adapted to, significant change across every aspect of selling.

As a sales strategist, trainer, and proud sales professional, Mike brings a rare depth of real-world experience to the conversation. His ability to connect past, present, and emerging trends makes him a trusted authority on the evolution of sales and the future of selling.

Selling Is Dead

Selling Is Dead is a bold exploration of how the sales profession has been fundamentally disrupted—and why that disruption creates its greatest opportunity yet. Today’s buyer is no longer entering the market uninformed or undecided. Armed with the internet, peer reviews, comparison sites, social proof, and now AI, customers are often 60–80% through their decision process before they ever speak to a salesperson—if they speak to one at all. In many cases, particularly online, the entire buying journey happens with zero human interaction.

Mike Boyle reframes the answer. Selling isn’t dead—it’s being reset. The opportunity for modern sales professionals is not to compete with information, but to add value beyond it. In an age of educated customers, trust, insight, interpretation, and relevance become the new currency. The best salespeople now act as sense-makers, problem-framers, and decision partners—helping buyers navigate complexity, challenge assumptions, reduce risk, and connect solutions to real outcomes. Selling Is Dead is ultimately a call to evolve: from transactional selling to professional, consultative influence that earns its place in a buyer-driven world.

Go To Market

Go To Market in 2026: Aligning Teams and Messaging for Commercial Success

The way organisations go to market has been fundamentally reshaped over the past decade. In this keynote, Mike Boyle explores how changes in buyer behaviour, the explosion of digital channels, and the rapid adoption of technology have transformed strategic planning—and what that means for businesses heading into 2026.

Customers now engage across multiple platforms, often interacting with marketing, sales, digital, and service teams long before a purchase decision is made. Yet while technology has accelerated reach and scale, it has also exposed a critical challenge: misaligned teams and fragmented messaging. When strategy, marketing, and sales operate in isolation, the customer experience suffers—and so does commercial performance.

AI and the Future of Selling: How Artificial Intelligence Is Redefining Sales Excellence

In today’s fast-moving market, Artificial Intelligence is no longer a futuristic concept—it’s already reshaping how sales teams operate, strategise, and engage with customers. In this keynote, Mike Boyle explores the real impact of AI on sales, selling, and the role of the sales professional, separating hype from practical application.

Far from replacing sales professionals, AI augments them—helping them work smarter, act faster, and serve customers in richer, more personalised ways. Mike reframes the conversation, showing that the most successful salespeople will combine human creativity, empathy, and judgment with intelligent technology to deliver differentiated impact.

This keynote equips audiences with a clear view of where AI is going, how it’s being used right now in cutting-edge sales teams, and what leaders must do today to stay ahead of disruption. Whether you’re a frontline seller or a sales manager, this talk will help you act with confidence and clarity in an AI-infused world.

Speaking Style

Mike’s speaking style is authentic, relatable and story-driven.

He connects with audiences through real experience and adventure narratives, then translates those lessons into tools and frameworks they can use straight away.

His love and enthusiasm for these incredible stories are infectious. Through his presentation, a unique blend of story, video and imagery, Mike creates a bubble within which a captivated audience leans in for more.

Mike’s ‘unpacking’ of each story helps people see their challenges from a new perspective, understand what is getting in the way, and take confident steps forward.
